Where are the Ewoks?

Trees at Oak Openings Preserve

I was on my way back to Mallard Lake when I saw some deer cross the trail and run through these trees here. Brilliant light lit up the forest floor and I had to stop and capture the moment. I’m glad I got this too because it’s difficult to find a good landscape photograph during the summer.

Later after posting it on facebook, my aunt said she was looking for Ewoks in this picture. Of course since I’m not much of a Star Wars fan (I’m more of a Harry Potter kind of guy) I asked what an Ewok was. She told me they were from Star Wars and I took a look at some of the clips with the Ewoks in them and I could see what she meant. This photo looks almost exactly like the forest they live in. Cool.
