G O M A  (or QGMA) - Queensland Gallery of Modern Art

The gallery is situated on Kurilpa Point next to the Queensland Art Gallery and State Library of Queensland and faces the Brisbane River and the CBD, which is just across the river. The Gallery of Modern Art has a total floor area over 25 000 m² and the largest exhibition gallery is 1100 m².

In July 2002, Sydney-based company Architectus was commissioned by the Queensland Government following an Architect Selection Competition, to design the Gallery’s second site, the Queensland Gallery of Modern Art (QGMA).

The gallery features art works from Australia, Asia, and countries within the Pacific region and includes the Australian Cinémathèque.
